Oil Painting Instructor - Master Painter Sophie Rajau

Sophie Rajau's passion for oil painting led her across Europe and India to study at the most prestigious arts schools including Ecole du Louvre, from which she graduated in 1992; Ecole Boulle, an école supérieure des arts appliqués; and at the Ecole d'Art Mural of Versailles where she learned the secrets of decorative arts. 

In 2021, Sophie completed an internship at the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris, with the renown painter and engraver Gilles Marey. 

In 2023, Sophie's work was honored with a Silver Medal by the Academy of Arts Sciences and Letters of Paris, which was created in 1666 to honor the most distinguished French and foreign specialists in science and the arts.
Sophie lives outside Paris in the Eure-et-Loir countryside where guests are always welcome to take tea in her fabulous gardens and talk about painting!
